Video Review

This movie was sold as a 4K disc BUT it's decieving. The audio offers DTS-HD 7.1 surround sound BUT the video is still in1080p and widescreen using the 2:35:1aspect ratio. So technically, it isn't a true 4K video image but that doesn't matter because it still looks great! The colors were bright and the darker scenes were still clear. Watching it on a great TV and blu-ray player can drastically improve the movie's image quality as well.

Sound Review

This is another "older" movie whose implementation of surround sound has really impressed me. They just don't make movie soundscapes like this one anymore. It's home theater enthusiasts dream. The surround sound is amazing! It actually uses all of the speakers. What's even more special is that it's not a native Dolby Atmos sound mix! And it's not super heavy on the LFE (low frequency effects) either.

Summary

This is an entertaining movie that will use all/most of the surround speakers of your home theater. Unlike movies like "Ready Player One" where the surround sound is used primarily in a few scenes, Hitman: Agent 47 uses the surrounds throughout the entire movie.
