Video Review

The blacks were inky black and the bights were crisp and reproduced well, even though this movie was meant to be dark. This 4K version reveals details that you just couldn't make out in the original, like the name on Blade's mother ID when it fell on the floor in the beginning of the movie. You can tell that they removed some of the film grain effect but they left just enough to still look like a 1998 movie.

Sound Review

This was a great implementation of Atmos sound. You can hear the sprinklers overhead and the surround sounds are exactly where you'd expect to hear them. Even the LFE was mapped well, although there was a lot of it. The Dolby Atmos mix takes the home theater viewing to a whole other level!

Summary

Buy the 4K version of the disk, turn down the lights, and get ready for a great experience! This is definitely a great addition to your collection of home theater worthy movies.
