Video Review

The animation of this movie was already top notch when it was made and this Blu-ray version has definitely stood up over time. It isn't 4K quality but it wasn't meant to be. That being said, this particular version had a lot of noticeable smoothing and subtle jittering throughout the movie. But I didn't experience the same thing when streaming it so I'm pretty sure that it was from the disk. No matter how you watch it is a joy to experience in a home theater. And it's original story is sure to become a family Christmas classic for everyone of all ages to enjoy!!

Sound Review

This was the first time I experienced my favorite Christmas movie the way it was meant to be and I was pleasantly surprised.  It was today I learned that Dolby Audio - TrueHD can sound almost as good Dolby Atmos! Hearing the sound effects moving around the room from speaker to speaker as the nightmare horses flew, Pitch running, and boomerang swirled. There's nothing like being enveloped in sound. And this sound mix was very well done.
