Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (Home Theater Review)

Struggling to find his place in the world while juggling school and family, Brooklyn teenager Miles Morales is unexpectedly bitten by a radioactive spider and develops unfathomable powers just like the one and only Spider-Man. While wrestling with the implications of his new abilities, Miles discovers a super collider created by the madman Wilson "Kingpin" Fisk, causing others from across the Spider-Verse to be inadvertently transported to his dimension.

Video Review

This is an animated movie but the video is top notch. The comic book printed dot effects only add to the overall look of this movie. You will not be disappointed with the video quality at all. You can read the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Home Theater Review) here.

Sound Review

Let me start by saying that there's nothing wrong with the use of surround sound in this movie but..... there's nothing special about it either. There's use of the surround speakers to reflect a voice off screen or something over head but that's about it. And the volume of them are low. I guess it suffers the fate of most Disney movies when it comes to sound mixing, unfortunately.

Summary

Even though the sound isn't a show stopper, the video quality and movie are. This is a good movie to add to your home theater collection but not one to use as a demo for others. And it's a great movie to watch with family of all ages.
