Video Review

This movie was, visually, ahead of its time when it was originally released in 1999 but this 4K remastered version of the movie looks amazing! It doesn't look too soft and the special effects have held up nicely. You can still tell tat it's an older movie but the visuals are still crisp and not over saturated.

Sound Review

Unfortunately, this is a Disney release so the sound from the disk is naturally lower than normal. LFEs (Low-Frequency Effects) are great throughout the movie. The music soundtrack plays well from the bed layer and the Atmos speakers. There are small surround effects like vehicles driving overhead or bullets flying by throughout the movie but there's no specific scene that you'd use to show off your home theater speakers.

Summary

This is a solid movie to add to your home theater collection. It's more comically and nostalgia entertaining. The best part of the sound is the soundtrack. But it's still a good watch.
